Cymbopogon Flexuosus (Lemongrass) Oil
The organic essential oil of lemongrass has antiseptic, antibacterial, deodorizing and stimulating properties. Organic lemongrass essential oil is a stimulating tonic for the skin and excellent for revitalizing and energizing tired body and mind. Lemongrass organic essential oil brightens the senses and focuses the mind... It has a fresh, lemony citrus and grassy aroma.
Citrus Medica Limonum (Lemon) Peel oil
Lemon essential oil could have a practical application for the treatment of human skin against oxidative damage.
Poppy Oriental Seed
Poppy oil contains almost 40% LLL (tri-linolenic acid) in the triglyceride spectrum. This is why this oil gives such a beautiful silky-soft skin feeling despite its significant concentration of palmitic acid. Its relatively neutral colour and solid fragrance would not overpower your emulsion, balm or oil blend.
High concentrations of palmitic acid and linoleic acid give the oil barrier-repairing properties. Poppy seed oil is an excellent oil for damaged, mature, dry and rough skin.
Since calendula stimulates collagen production (you guessed it!), which promotes skin hydration, the oil is an incredibly effective fighter against dull, dry or flaky skin. The flower is also filled with vitamin E, another antioxidant with mega moisturizing properties for the skin. And studies show that using a balm or cream with calendula extract not only promotes skin hydration, but also firmness.
Calendula is a major redness reducer and soothes (and in some cases even prevents) dermatitis (which is actually just a collective term for different types of skin inflammation). Herbalists and holistic healers have long promoted extracts of the calendula plant as a replacement for potent antibiotics and topical steroids to soothe irritation and flare-ups of eczema and dermatitis. In fact, studies have shown that it is effective for the treatment of various skin conditions.
Curcuma Longa (Turmeric) Root Powder
Thanks to its high percentage of natural antioxidants, turmeric extract helps protect against premature skin ageing and wrinkles. Problem skin that is prone to inflammation or extreme sensitivity reactions will benefit from skin care with turmeric. It is also useful for skin conditions of eczema or skin fungi.
